New Covid Bill & First Two Stimulus Rebates
One Thing you should know is that if you received no Stimulus Rebate checks for the 1st round and 2nd round and/or you received a lower amount, you can possibly still receive those rebates. The initial rebates were most likely generated based on your 2019 earnings and if your 2020 earnings are lower, this will allow you through the Recovery Rebate Credit to increase the amount of your rebate.
The new Covid bill which was just signed into law, will start a 3rd round of rebate checks and will be based on either your 2019 tax return or 2020 tax return. This makes it very important for you to get your tax return filed for 2020 as soon as possible.
